Bhimtal is located at a distance of approximately 300 kilometers from Delhi. While going there, first one reaches the Kathgodam railway station. After that, one proceeds by car or bus towards the further route. In that, Bhimtal is located about 16 kilometers away, where there is a lake called Bhimtal Lake, which is considered to be about 1 kilometer long. The weather in Bhimtal is very pleasant.

Bhimtal Lake Uttarakhand

Bhimtal is surrounded by green mountains. It is enclosed from all sides by hills. While going to places like Nainital, Kainchi Dham, and Mukteshwar, Bhimtal falls along the way. Bhimtal is not situated at a very high altitude. This place is a low-height hill station and lies close to the plains. And it is a very attractive place. Near Bhimtal, there are some more tourist spots like Sattal, Naukuchiatal, etc., which, like Bhimtal, present an ancient and beautiful view. And upon reaching all these tourist places, one feels a sense of peace. Bhimtal is a developed town where all facilities are available like hospitals, schools, parks, and parking facilities.

Ancient Bhimeshwar Mahadev Temple of Bhimtal

In Bhimtal, there is an ancient temple of Shri Bhimeshwar Mahadev Ji. The name Bhimtal came from this temple. In this temple, an ancient statue of Nandi and an ancient Shivling are also installed. It is said that this temple was built by Surya Veer Bhim. Therefore, it reflects the faith in Lord Shiva during ancient times in India.

Café in the Middle of Bhimtal Lake

Near Nainital Lake, there is also the facility of park and parking. Bhimtal is situated at a height of about 1370 meters above sea level. When you go to Bhimtal Lake, a small path can be seen. In front of it, you can see an aquarium and a café. But you will not see the way to go there because it can only be accessed by boat. This café is located in the middle of the lake, where you can see the pure water of the lake all around. At the café, you can hear the beautiful sound of flowing water. Looking around from the café, you will see a very beautiful view of the mountains, and it feels as if we have come to heaven for a while.

Boating Facility in Bhimtal Lake

Boating facility is also available in the lake. The fare for one round is approximately ₹200 and for a half round ₹100. About 3 people can sit in one boat. While boating, the complete view of Bhimtal can be seen. During the monsoon, clouds appear very close over Bhimtal. The weather here is very pleasant and cool. The view here appears beautiful and attractive, as if we have reached heaven.

Naukuchiatal and Kamal Tal

Naukuchiatal and Kamal Tal can be seen facing each other. These also showcase the natural beauty of India and add to India’s historical glory.

Kamal Tal is famous for blooming lotus flowers. It is said that in the months of April to June, Kamal Tal is filled with lotus flowers. Boating is also available in Naukuchiatal, and there are various types of boats like chair boats, sofa boats, etc., in which you can enjoy the beauty of the lake surrounded by mountains. The fare for boating here is about ₹400, in which 6 people can ride. You are taken around the 4-kilometer lake in about 1 hour, and a guide is also provided who gives information about all tourist places and ensures your safety while boating. Other activities are also available at Naukuchiatal and Kamal Tal, such as kayaking, water zorbing, zipline, etc. There is a 200-meter zipline (one round), which costs ₹500, and the 800-meter zipline is faster than the 200-meter one, and for that, they provide a guide. Paragliding is also available here, and the charge starts from ₹1000.

Hotel Facilities

To stay in Bhimtal, you should choose a hotel near the lake because the view near the lake is very beautiful. Also, hotels should be booked in advance online or by contact because due to high demand, it can be difficult to find a hotel upon arrival. Near Bhimtal, there are also tents or camps available a short distance away where people from India and abroad stay. The fare for this is around ₹2000, and it includes breakfast. Staying here feels very nice because there is also a garden nearby. Mostly, couples spend some quality time here, and there is a nearby café where you can sit and enjoy. The view of the mountains in the surroundings is very beautiful and delightful.
